Why We Opened a Water Store in Rancho Cucamonga

In 2022, Jared and Anjuli Browne opened Crystal Alkaline Water at 8003 Archibald Ave. The premise was simple: the Inland Empire deserved access to clean, properly filtered water without paying premium bottled prices or signing up for a subscription they couldn't cancel. A neighborhood store. Refill your jug, come back when you're empty.

The store grew into something more. They added home delivery for customers who couldn't make the trip, a 24/7 outdoor vending machine for late nights and early mornings, Kangen water produced fresh on a medical-grade Enagic machine, and a small-format market that accepts EBT. Four years later, customers drive from Ontario, Fontana, and Chino Hills to fill up — not because there isn't water closer, but because the quality is measurably different.

That difference starts inside the store. Every gallon of water filled at Crystal Alkaline Water — from the $0.53 RO to the 9.5 pH alkaline to the Kangen — runs through a 9-stage AMPAC filtration system before it reaches your container. Cucamonga Valley Water District water is treated and legally safe. It still contains chlorine, chloramines, and trace compounds that affect how it tastes and how it sits in your body every day. The 9-stage process removes those. What you get is water that starts clean.
